Today has been very odd. It started out normal enough, except the part about me being in the BEST MOOD. I am pretty excited about all of the snow we are supposed to get tomorrow.
Odd thing #1: Benton and Bryant school districts closed school for tomorrow at 11 am. That is a little premature - don't you think?
Odd thing #2: When I got home, I found that Silvester had thrown up on the kitchen table. Gross! This has never happened before. EVER. I seriously considered taking a picture and having that be the picture of the day, but I was not sure if you could handle it.
Odd thing #3: I went into the laundry room and this is what I saw:
The remote control for the TV was in the laundry room on top of the litter box. Exactly where I was going to start looking.
Odd thing #4: We went to a friend's house after school to play. Our kids managed to flush down the toilet an AIR HOCKEY PUCK. How is that even possible? Now if you have ever been at anyone house and had your kids break something, you know the panic I was feeling. Plumbers are not cheap. I started calling all the guys I knew who are knowledgeable in this area (I did not call my husband). According to everyone we talked too, if the toilet would still flush with a significant amount of toilet paper, then we should be OK.
Odd thing #5: After we left our friend's house we went out to eat. Victor was not with us. One of the men working at the restaurant flagged me down and asked me if I had a barber. He told me that he was a barber and was going to offer his services. Sometimes when people are trying to drum up business for themselves, it comes out insulting. Victor wasn't there and I did not have on a wedding ring. It sounded like, "Hey lady, you are doing a crappy job keeping these boys groomed and you need some help." Now did he say that? No. The guy was lucky I was in a good mood and did not take it that way.
Yes, they do have a barber, but we have not been in a while. I explained to him that I know their hair is long, but they had been outside playing and that is why it looked so bad.
I really should have gotten a picture of Robbie's hair.
When we got home, I went nuts with the firewood:
If we are going to get 10' of snow, I did not want to have to lug the firewood up the stairs.
Ok so I went a little overboard. So sue me.
I bet ya'll are LOVING the wood-burning fireplace, that is the perfect finishing touch to a snow day!
