We had an interesting encounter today. William and Jonah were out riding on their scooters. A car came around the corner and both boys swerved to get out of the street so they would not be hit by the car. William fell off and cut up his knee. The man in the car stopped, found a water bottle in his car and washed William's knee. Then he found a white cloth or shirt and wiped the blood off William's knee. The stranger then put neosporin on William's knee.
In the meantime, Jonah had come in the house to find me. He told me William was bleeding badly and a man had pulled over to help him. When I got across the street, the man was done. The only thing he had not done was put a bandaid on. He would have, but he said he did not have one big enough. Isn't that amazing?
What a sweet man! I really could not believe it. I asked questions like, 'do you live around here?' and 'do you have kids?' Mostly, I was just shocked and grateful for his kindness to my son.
