Robbie, Jonah and I spend about an hour in the car every day. We start out about 7:30 to take William to school. We make it just before 8:00. I then drive them to their school. On Fridays, I make Robbie and Jonah quiz each other for their spelling and vocabulary tests in the car. I mean we have the time and the backpacks, so why not?
Today, Jonah was quizzing Robbie and he was really struggling with the words. I got on to him because he had supposedly studied earlier in the week and was acting like he had never seen these words. Halfway to their school, Robbie took the folder from Jonah and figured out that I had turned to the wrong page and Jonah was quizzing him on next week's words. Whoops. My bad.
It was hard to concentrate anyway because in the back of the van was Silvester. He had an appointment at 8:30 so he had to ride along. He cried the entire way and got sick a couple of times.
We had excellent care at the vet. I had asked the receptionist if there was somewhere I could was out the cat carrier. She volunteered to wash it out for me. When the vet came in I was chasing Silvester around with a paper towel to clean him off. The vet took Silvester to the back and washed him off for me. That was such a kind thing to do. Have you ever tried to give a cat a bath? It is not fun, especially if they have their claws, which mine does.
The vet checked out his kidney, pancreas and liver to see why he is throwing up so much. All the tests came back negative. The vet gave Silvester his shots and an extra dose of steroids to help whatever the problem was. Silvester was not happy and soo tired when we got home.
