Today we took down the Christmas tree. Every year we go as a family to a tree farm to cut down our own Christmas tree. This year we celebrated Christmas in a new house that has a working fireplace. Victor decided to burn the tree. He thought it would take all day to burn the entire tree....
He was wrong.
Here is the empty space where the tree was. It looks hollow and void of all cheer.
Since we moved in the weekend before Thanksgiving, I did not have to apply myself too heavily to the task of decorating. I just threw up Christmas decorations. Now I have to figure out what to do with this empty spot. And the walls. And the dining room. And my bedroom. And the boys bedroom. This is usually a fun problem to have, but there is so much that it seems daunting.
