Operation Christmas Child 11/19

Today we went to Conway to help  my brother.  His favorite charity is Operation Christmas Child.  All year he is shopping for the best deals and stores them in his garage.  When November rolls around he pulls out all of the items he has purchased and loads them up in boxes to be shipped to children all over the world so that they can have a Christmas too.  This year we went and helped assemble the boxes.  All the kids would grab a box and go around the house getting them filled by the adults who had different items.  We had a hygiene kit with soap, washcloth, toothpaste and toothbrush, flip flop, crayons and coloring book, stuffed animals, hair bows and pony tail holders, combs, play dough, water bottle filled with candy, etc.

We filled 316 boxes.  It was originally 315, but Shane filled one more to make it 3:16.

This was our family's first time participating in Operation Christmas Child,  I have always wanted the boys to do it, but had not idea what to get each child.  Shane has it down to a science.  It was a good experience for my boys.  I am not so sure William truly understood what we were doing, but still, he participated.

Then it was back to Little Rock for a birthday party.  KJ's birthday is always right around Thanksgiving.  The 22nd I think.  We went to the bowling alley.
