Saturday 5/14 Cold Games

We were at the fields all day for Robbie's two games. It was freezing and we did not bring warm clothes.  Jonah and William were in shorts!  Jonah's coach gave us blankets and coats to wear.

See the blue smurf in the back?  That is William with a sweatshirt on and a blanket wrapped around his legs.  I spent the entire time swaddling him to keep him warm.

We also stopped by to see Marcy play.
Here are some pictures another mom took of Robbie for me:

Friday 5/13 Sick William

William is sick.  He is running fever and his asthma has kicked up.

Thursday (5/12) Jack & Annie Day

Jonah's grade had Jack & Annie Day.

First the presentations.  We had to decorate his desk.  His book was Sunset of the Sabertooth.

He dressed like Jack complete with glasses and swim trunks.

Then outside for games associated with the books.
Go team Dynamite!

Wednesday (5/11) Field Trip

Field trip with Robbie to see a play and eat at the Clinton Library.

Later that evening, I tried to help Jonah on a his project due tomorrow.

The boys were exhausted from staying out so late at the ball fields and I ended up sending them all to bed by 7:30.

I was supposed to go with Victor to Jay's graduation ceremony at the church.  Victor went without me.  I really feel awful missing it.  Victor said everything was really nice and I missed out.  He does feel like we made the right choice because the boys were so tired and William ended up needing his inhaler a lot and did not stop coughing until 9:30.

Tuesday 5/10 Not Really

Here is Jonah.  Turns out this trophy was for the AAA team not his team which is AA.  I did not catch on to this until after he had taken it to school to show his classmates.  We will be having a talk.  Trophies are a good look for him.  He just needs to earn it.

Robbie played two games tonight.  The second game started at 7:30.  At 9:15 during Robbie's game, the sprinklers came on.  The game was stopped and the umpire was stumped.  I heard him say that he had never encountered this situation before and did not know what to do.  They called the city and someone drove out to the fields to turn the sprinklers off.

Meantime, I had let Jonah run through the sprinklers.  He had practice tonight and was hot and sweaty.  I thought it would be fun and refreshing.  When Victor and William showed up (William had a game at 7:30 also), I told William he could go too.  Victor was not happy about wet children in a new car, but it was too late.

We did not leave the ball fields until after 10.  The boys had to have showers when we got home.  They had a late night!

Monday (5/9) Jonah Field Trip

Field trip with Jonah.  We went to the Arkansas Historic Museum where we watched a movie and toured different exhibits and prototypes of what life would have been like long ago.

Then we went to the game and fish commission to look at stuff.

Sunday (5/8) Mother's Day

Went to a Japanese restaurant and sat at the hibachi grill.  The kids had so much fun and they actually ate their food!

Look at William's face - he is really paying attention.

Saturday (5/7) Cubby

We all cleaned out the garage and reworked the room so both automobiles will fit comfortably.  I also bought this:

A cubby to store backpacks, cleats, belts and socks for baseball.  Hopefully, I will never watch Jonah spend 20 minutes looking for one red sock again!

Friday (5/6) Muffins for Mom

Muffins for Mom at William's school

I had William's classmate take this picture.  She did a pretty good job.

After school I had to go to Lisa's to see her babies hiding in the bushes.

Bunnies!!  So cool!  But are they bunnies?  Jonah thinks they look like squirrels.

Thursday (5/5) Pictures

Look what came in the mail..

Wednesday (5/4) Babies

The last day of CBS..

Tuesday (5/3) Sly

Boys school cancelled due to interstates being flooded, plus two classrooms at their school flooded... I overslept CBS.  It was actually at my neighbor's house so I went over for a while.  The boys were home alone.  I kept calling to make sure they were OK.

As a treat for being so good while I was down the street, we went to Purple Cow.

Here is someone who is enjoying the sunshine!

Monday- Creek

Creek by Lisa's house

Water is everywhere. This creek took out a fence and washed away Lisa's trash cans.
I spent the day in Maumelle helping the family whose house flooded.  Lisa kept all three boys for me.

Sunday (5/1) Osama is Dead

Our friends from church were awakened at 12:30 am to the sounds of knocking at their door.  It was the fire department.  They evacuated the couple and their three small children because the house was flooding.  After church and a luncheon, Victor went down to see how he could help.  They worked hard pulling up all of the carpet and cutting sheet rock to air out the wet walls.  When Victor came home, he fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.

I was up alone when the news came across the wire:
A demonstrator gestures in front of a portrait ...
Osama bin Ladin was finally found and killed by Navy Seals.

Resident boy Adeel, 8, plays in front of the ...

He was living in this house in Pakistan.

It is something we have been waiting ten long years to hear.  Not that I am celebrating a man's death because I do think that is wrong.  I am relieved that this person is no longer a threat to our country and the world.  I am anxious to get word that the troops in Afghanistan will be able to come home.
